This week i am interviewing senior, bryce boswell. Bryce is seventeen and has been attending strafford since the beginning of his junior year. Bryce is involved in basketball, baseball, stuco, and nhs. bryce likes to hang out with friends, play video games, and practice baseball in his free time.
i asked bryce a moment that mattered to him in high school,
"My favorite memory of high school would be winning a district championship in baseball. i've never been a part of anything like our team accomplished that day. down 5 with two outs in the bottom of the 7th we somehow managed to come back and win. this is definitely a moment i will never forget."
This memory not only affected the players, but the crowd as well. Reading this gave me chills because i remember standing next to the net watching this unforgettable game take place. I have never watched a crazier game all of high school.
I loved getting to know bryce these two years and having multiple classes with him. bryce has recently signed to play baseball at Drury university and my community and I can't wait to see the amazing things He is going to do in the future.

This week i am interviewing senior, shay burrell. Shay is eighteen and has been attending strafford since the beginning of her junior year. shay is involved in two otc programs (Skills usa and Phi theta) and football cheerleading. Shay likes to read, volunteer, cheer, and shop in her free time.
I asked shay a moment that mattered to her in high school,
"Moving to strafford has been an adventure at the least. i've made so many new friends and i've extended my non biological family. who knew that moving from a school of nearly 2,000 to a school of less than 600, would be just what i needed to excel. strafford has a small town family atmosphere. the second my family decided to move, the whole town was offering to help us find a house, to move, to get registered in school, and to even live with them so we could get into the district before school started. that never would have happened in willard. we moved in, started school, and within a week, i was no longer the new kid. i was an indian. This move was stressful and exciting, but it turned out to be the best thing my family could have done. i have more friends, school spirit, and happy memories from a year and a half at strafford than all six years at willard combined. now, when there are new kids at strafford, i want to welcome and accept them the same way i was. am i proud to be an indian? yes i am."
I have loved getting to know shay these past two years and i have seen how big her heart really is. Shays plan for the future is to major in biology and go to school to be a pediatrician or a pediatric oncologist/cardiologist. My community is so excited to see the amazing things shay is going to do after high school.

This week i am interviewing senior, andrew woodring. Andrew is eighteen and has gone to strafford since 4th grade. He is involved in student council, nhs, freshmen mentoring, football, and fbla. In his free time, andrew likes to hang out with friends, read, and watch T.V.
I asked andrew a moment that mattered to him in high school, "A memory that means a lot to me is being undefeated conference champions. it is the fourth time in school history. the last people to do this was the class of 2015. the seniors when i was a freshman. i looked up to them like no other age group. to me, they were invincible. never losing, or ever making it close. For my friends and i to accomplish the same feat as them, is incredible."
Andrew had always had a goal to feel the feeling he had freshmen year and he had the opportunity to obtain this in his last football season. I have been able to cheer on andrew these past four years of high school on the sidelines and in the crowd. i have loved seeing the passion he has for football. Not only does he put passion into his athletics, but he puts it into everything he does. i have always looked up to andrew not only for his intelligence, but for his heart.
andrew's plan after high school is to attend a four year college then medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. Everyone in my school and community knows that andrew is going to do incredible things in his future. I am so happy i've had the opportunity to be close with him throughout school.

This week i am interviewing Senior, kenzie britain. Kenzie is seventeen and has gone to strafford since 5th grade. She is involved in nhs and fccla. Kenzie likes to go thrift shopping, go on adventures, and hang out with her friends.
I asked Kenzie a moment that mattered to her in high school, "Every moment has mattered to me because of all the memories i have made with my closest friends, and all the lessons i have learned."
Every moment kenzie has had in high school has mattered to her in some way and made her the person she is today. Kenzie has always been one of the girls i could go to with anything. Even with different friend groups, we always have had a bond that is unbreakable. Every year we seem to just keep close no matter what happens. She is one of the most trusting people i've ever had the opportunity to be friends with. She is unique, creative, and kind. She always tries to be different, and that's what i love about her.
Kenzie's plan after high school is to attend a four year college, possibly Missouri Southern, and get a degree in Biology. She then plans to go to PA school and become a surgical physicians assistant. My classmates and I can't wait to see all of the incredible adventures kenzie is going to go on throughout her life.

This week i am interviewing senior, Trenton Roebke. Trenton is seventeen and has attended strafford his whole life. He is involved in nhs, jazz band, band, Tri-M, ffa, and basketball. Trenton likes to watch netlix, play video games, and play guitar.
I asked trenton a moment that mattered to him in high school, "My junior year I took trigonometry as my math class. From the beginning of the year I was the loud one of our small class of eight students. My friends and i thought it was pretty amusing, but the teacher did not. so as time went on, the teacher got tired of my talking and we did not get along as well as the other students. after a few days, i was going to send a message by not caring and let my grade slip. semester rolled around and my grade was a c-, a grade that made me realize how dumb of a mistake I made. So the second semester, even though it was math (which was not a good subject for me) got harder, I did not let that stop me. After working hard the whole semester, I ended the class with a B. Although to some people that doesn't seem like a good grade to be proud of, it was for me. I realized and acknowledged my hard work."
Trentons favorite moment was accomplishing a goal. HE BELIEVED IN HIMSELF AND HAD FAITH, AND THAT MATTERED TO HIM. Every moment is different for someone, but to trenton seeing himself work hard was important.
I have had the opportunity to attend strafford schools with trenton. Trenton has always been very friendly and fun to be around. Trentons plan is to attend Mizzou after high school. The strafford community is excited to see the amazing things that are ahead for trentons future.

This week i am interviewing senior, emma webb. Emma is currently seventeen and has lived in strafford since her 7th grade year. She is involved in nhs and volleyball. emma likes to hang out with friends, watch makeup tutorials, go shopping, and get starbucks for fun.
I asked emma a moment that mattered to her in high school, "it may sound cliche to others, but my favorite high school memory was when i got to experience going to state with my volleyball team during my sophomore year of high school. Going to state showed me that all of the hard work really did pay off. My team members were not just my team; they were friends who felt like a second family. i will always look back on this experience as the most memorable time of my high school career."
emma's favorite moment wasn't something small, it was something big. It was a big deal to her, their team, and the community. I myself remember the feeling and it was indescribable. even though they didn't win, it was her feeling of all of the work they put into it up to that moment.
Since emma's 7th grade year, her and i have always been friends. Her fun personality is so contagious and i have never met someone who didn't love everything about her. She has a huge heart. Emma's plan after high school is to attend OTC or Msu and become a dental hygienist. We all believe emma is going to do big things in the future.
